Created as part of the team at Telesco Creative Group.
The directive was clear: “Help make our gymnasium and adjacent spaces inspire
our students—athletes and non-athletes alike—as well as visiting guests.”
With a well-established mascot and bold school colors already embraced by the student body, we focused on strategically enhancing key vantage points and circulation paths. Bold bands of color—designed as directional “arrows”—guide visitors through the space, paired with powerful motivational messaging to spark pride and energy.
Quotes from renowned athletes and thought leaders were carefully selected
to echo the school's commitment to supporting all students, not just those
involved in sports.A school-wide call for quote submissions added a unique
layer of student engagement and ownership to the project.
We incorporated meaningful language from the school's alma mater and created
an interpretive display that reflects the school building’s deep history.
These elements serve to remind students of their role as stewards of City Honors’ heritage and values. One standout feature is the selfie wall—
a bold “3D Centaur Proud” installation—designed as a photo opportunity to
amplify school spirit throughstudent interaction and social sharing.
Part pep rally, part museum, the collective installation has sparked excitement throughout the student body and among visiting teams and faculty. The transformation has not only energized the City Honors community but also caught the attention of other schools in the district, who now look to this project as a fresh and inspiring reimagining of traditional school interiors.
