The Plan Room is a unique concept — a coworking space specifically designed for
the construction trades. Housed in a former piano key factory in Buffalo, New York,
the building was creatively reimagined and divided into a variety of space sizes.
This flexible layout allows companies of all sizes to lease space and become
part of a new, collaborative professional community.

The name “Plan Room” references the traditional centralized location
(or digital platform) where construction professionals review bidding documents
such as blueprints and project specifications. This inspiration influenced the branding direction, encouraging the use of blueprint colors and architectural markings throughout the design.

Many of the drawings incorporated into the environmental branding elements
are taken directly from original architectural plans of the historic
Wood & Brooks building — the very site where The Plan Room is located.
