The Plan Room is a unique coworking concept designed specifically for the construction trades. Located in a former piano key factory in Buffalo, New York, the historic building was creatively reimagined and transformed into a flexible workspace featuring a variety of
office sizes and configurations. The adaptable layout allows companies of all sizes to establish a presence while becoming part of a collaborative professional community.

The name “Plan Room” draws inspiration from the traditional centralized spaces —
and today’s digital platforms — where construction professionals review bidding documents, blueprints, and project specifications. This idea became the foundation for the brand direction, incorporating blueprint-inspired colors, architectural markings, and visual elements drawn from the world of construction.

Many of the drawings used throughout the environmental branding were sourced directly from original architectural plans of the historic Wood & Brooks building — the very structure that now houses The Plan Room. By integrating the building’s own history into the design,
the brand creates a connection between the site’s past and its new role as a hub for collaboration and innovation.
