The name “Thin Man” pays tribute to Buffalo’s innovative past—specifically,
the original one-dimensional crash test dummy developed by Calspan in 1948.
his nod to scientific ingenuity was a perfect match for the brewery’s experimental energy, led by head brewer Rudy Watkins, whose “mad scientist” approach
shaped the brand’s adventurous beer lineup.

Thin Man’s branding—featuring a striking black, white, and yellow palette and visuals inspired by scientific diagrams—mirrored its mission: to push boundaries
whilehonoring Buffalo’s legacy of innovation.
